Walls & Spaces
For studies, bedrooms, therapy rooms, and contemplative spaces — a flora-inspired artwork that invites the eye to linger and the breath to soften.
Get in touch →Each work begins with close observation, whether in the wild or in botanical gardens. The colors and forms of flowers and fruits first catch the eye, then linger in the heart.
Observation and sketches set the direction. AI-assisted studies are used to explore composition and variation, while the final selection, refinement, pairing, naming, and presentation are shaped by me.
To honor plants as living beings, I work without picking or cutting them. Instead, I use AI to let their forms and colors unfold freely while they remain undisturbed where they grow, leaving their fragrance and fruit for insects and birds, and the possibility of another encounter for those who pause before them.
I further develop selected works into ink-wash paintings on a gilt-effect ground, painting each one entirely by hand.
The earliest inspiration for Florastria took shape during my doctoral years, from 2014 to 2017. As a computer scientist spending long hours in front of screens, I often found respite on weekends in botanical gardens and along mountain paths with botanist friends, learning to recognize the plants around us. These moments in nature became a precious source of calm and renewal amid the demands of research. It was also in those years that I hand-made a flower calendar for a dear friend who shares my love of plants — looking back, the first seed of Florastria.
Years of close observation and quiet attention have gradually shaped a visual language of my own. Through images, works on paper, and spatial compositions, Florastria carries forward the calm and restorative qualities I find in nature, offering a place for the gaze to rest and the mind to gently unfold.
Feel free to write in English, Deutsch, or Chinese — whichever feels most natural.

Florastria invites the gaze to linger until a flower unfolds into a galaxy of its own.
Florastria is a curated visual world centred on flowers and fruits, shaped by a deep affinity with nature, refined by hand, and carried onto paper, into spaces, and through everyday life.
“To see a World in a Grain of Sand,
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand,
And Eternity in an hour.”
Inspired by the golden spiral, the compositions echo the sweeping arms of a galaxy. Flowers and fruits trace the curve in an organic rhythm, balancing tension and negative space to create a world of their own.

Breathe with a flower: it opens as you inhale and closes as you exhale. Let your breathing slow and your body and mind unwind — before sleep, in tense moments, or whenever the day feels too full.
